We file, you get the receipts
Once you approve and the fee is settled, we submit electronically and forward the HMRC or Companies House acknowledgement the same day.
Why IGI
Why Monument businesses file with IGI
The price for cash-flow forecasting is published on this page and is what a client in Monument pays. We confirm it in writing first, and the invoice matches the quote.
Deadline-first: the dates that matter for cash-flow forecasting are shown at the top of this page, diarised for every Monument client and chased before they arrive.
Online only, UK based. There is no office in Monument to pay for, which is why the fee is the same here as anywhere in England; the work is done by people in the UK who answer the same day.
Continuity matters in cash-flow forecasting: the person who prepared last year's work for your Monument business prepares this year's, and remembers what was agreed.
The output for Monument clients is never just a form. It is the form, a one-page summary of what it says, and a note of the decisions it points to for cash-flow forecasting.
Approval before filing is a rule, not a courtesy. For cash-flow forecasting in Monument, every submission to HMRC or Companies House follows your written go-ahead.

Rules that come up in this work
Switching accountants
You can switch accountant at any point in the year. The new firm requests clearance and your records from the old one, which cannot withhold your own documents though it may hold its own working papers until its fees are settled. Agent authorisations with HMRC and Companies House are transferred, and the next deadline is picked up without a gap.
Closing a company
A solvent company that has finished its purpose can be dissolved by voluntary strike-off: form DS01 with a £13 Companies House fee, after three months without trading and with all debts paid, final accounts and tax return filed, and assets distributed. HMRC objects to any application where returns or tax are outstanding, so the sequence matters more than the form.
Confirmation statements and identity verification
The confirmation statement is the annual check that the public register is right: officers, registered office, SIC codes, shareholders and the PSC register. It carries a £50 fee and no financial penalty for lateness, but failure to file leads to compulsory strike-off. The identity verification regime introduced in November 2025 has added a further check to every statement.
CIS deductions
The Construction Industry Scheme affects both sides of a construction payment. Contractors must verify subcontractors, deduct the right amount, issue statements and file monthly, with penalties from £100 for each late return. Subcontractors suffer deductions on turnover and recover the excess at the year end. Limited company subcontractors offset deductions against PAYE monthly instead.
Late filing penalties
HMRC's penalties for a late Self Assessment return are automatic: £100 the day after 31 January, £10 a day from three months late up to £900, then the greater of £300 or 5% of the tax at six and twelve months. Interest and separate late-payment penalties apply to the tax itself. Companies House charges £150 to £1,500 for late accounts, doubling for a second consecutive year.
Making Tax Digital for Income Tax
Making Tax Digital for Income Tax began in April 2026 for sole traders and landlords with qualifying income over £50,000, extends to those over £30,000 in April 2027 and is planned for £20,000 in April 2028. It requires digital records in compatible software and four quarterly updates to HMRC each year, with a final declaration replacing the traditional return. Payment dates are unchanged.
The Self Assessment calendar
The tax year runs from 6 April to 5 April. Anyone new to Self Assessment must register by 5 October after the end of the tax year in which their untaxed income began. The online return and the balancing payment are due by 31 January, with a second payment on account on 31 July where they apply. Paper returns have an earlier deadline of 31 October and are rarely sensible.
Questions
Cash-Flow Forecasting questions from Monument
What happens after the forecast is delivered?
You receive the model, a briefing call to walk through it, and a written note of the assumptions and the pinch points we see. You can run it yourself from there, or take the £99 monthly refresh so we keep it live. Many clients start with a one-off forecast and move to the retainer once they see its value.
How quickly can you produce a forecast?
A 13-week forecast within five working days of receiving your data; a 12-month forecast with scenarios within ten. Funding packs depend on the lender's format but typically two weeks. If you have a deadline for an application, tell us when you book and we plan backwards from it.
Why do forecasts usually go wrong?
Three reasons: they assume customers pay on the due date, they forget tax dates, and they are never updated. We model actual payment behaviour from your history, place VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax and Self Assessment payments on their real dates, and offer the refresh retainer so the forecast stays current.
Do I need bookkeeping with you to have a forecast?
No, but the data must exist. We build forecasts from any reasonably kept accounting file plus bank data. If the bookkeeping is behind, we say so first, because a forecast built on stale records is worthless. Clients in our bookkeeping service have the data ready by default.
What is in the funding-application pack?
For £299: a 12-month forecast with monthly cash flow, profit and loss and balance sheet, an assumptions schedule, sensitivity analysis showing what happens if sales fall or costs rise by set percentages, and a narrative explaining the business and the use of funds in the terms lenders and grant bodies use. We brief you on the questions they will ask.
Will banks accept your forecasts?
Yes. Lenders see forecasts constantly and recognise one built from real data with documented assumptions. Grant bodies and investors likewise. We produce covenant calculations and any specific format a lender requires, and we are happy to speak to the lender with you about the assumptions.
Do you have an office in Monument?
No. IGI Accounting is an online-only firm. We serve Monument and every other UK postcode remotely, with records sent by WhatsApp or email and everything filed electronically. The absence of local premises is why the fee for cash-flow forecasting is the same in Monument as anywhere else in the country, and why there is nothing to visit and nothing to print.
Is cash-flow forecasting in Monument really the same price as elsewhere?
Yes. The fee published on this page is what a client in Monument pays and what a client in any other part of England pays. It is confirmed in writing before work starts and the invoice matches the quote. Where a higher package applies because your situation is more complex, we say so at the quote stage, never afterwards.
