Advice disclaimer

What this website is
The pages on igiaccounting.co.uk describe our services, explain how UK tax and company law work in general terms, and give the fees we charge. They are written to be accurate and are reviewed regularly, but they are general information about the law as it stands at the date shown on each page. They are not advice about your circumstances and should not be relied on as such.
Figures and dates
Unless a page says otherwise, tax rates, thresholds, allowances and deadlines quoted on this site relate to the 2026/27 tax year, which runs from 6 April 2026 to 5 April 2027, and to the Companies House fees published on 25 September 2026. Rates and thresholds change at each Budget and each April, Companies House fees change periodically, and HMRC and Companies House procedures change without notice. We update the site when we become aware of changes, but there can be a delay, and the figures on any page should be checked against gov.uk before you act on them.
Calculators and tools
The free tools on this site produce estimates from the figures you type in, using the rates we have programmed. They cannot take account of everything that may apply to you, such as other income, reliefs, losses brought forward or your residence position, and they may contain errors. They are for illustration only. Do not make decisions on their output without advice.
When something becomes advice
We give advice when we are engaged to do so: as part of a service we are providing to you under our terms of business, or in a fixed-fee planning review, and in each case in writing. Advice is given on the basis of the facts you have told us and the law at the time, and is for you alone, not for anyone else you may pass it to. If the facts change or the law changes, the advice may no longer apply, and we are not obliged to update it unless we are engaged to.
Limits of what we advise on
We advise on UK tax, accounting and company secretarial matters. We do not provide regulated financial advice, such as which pension or investment to choose; legal advice, such as the terms of a contract or a shareholders' agreement; or insolvency advice. Where a matter needs a regulated financial adviser, a solicitor or a licensed insolvency practitioner, we will say so and you should take that advice before acting.
No tax avoidance schemes
We do not promote, recommend or implement tax avoidance schemes, including arrangements that would be notifiable under the Disclosure of Tax Avoidance Schemes rules. Planning we recommend uses reliefs and allowances in the way Parliament intended. If you are offered an arrangement elsewhere that seems to produce a result out of proportion to its commercial substance, we will tell you our view honestly if you ask.
Links to other websites
Where we link to gov.uk, Companies House, HMRC or other sites, we do so for your convenience. We are not responsible for their content, which may change.
Liability
Our liability for advice we give under an engagement is set out in our terms of business. We accept no liability for loss arising from reliance on general information on this website, on the output of the tools, or on advice given to someone other than the person it was given to.
Contact
