About us
An accountancy firm built around three complaints
Not knowing what the accountant will charge. Hearing about a deadline after it has passed. Receiving accounts with no explanation. IGI Accounting exists to remove all three, for any business or individual anywhere in the United Kingdom.
Who we are
The company behind the name
IGI Accounting is a trading name of IGI Security Services Ltd, a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 15881180. Our registered office is 60 Tottenham Court Road, Suite 4944a, London W1T 2EW. You can inspect the company's filing history on the Companies House register at any time.
We are an online-only practice. There is no reception, no meeting room and no appointment diary. Work arrives by WhatsApp and email, is prepared by UK-based staff during UK working hours, and is filed electronically with HMRC and Companies House after you have approved it. That is the whole model, and it is why the published fee is the same in every part of the country.
What we do not claim
Credentials you can check, not badges
We do not display professional body logos, review scores, client counts, industry prizes or a founding date on this site, because we would rather you judged us on the two things you can verify: the company number above, and the way we handle your work once you have spoken to us.
Every fee on this site is a fixed fee that we confirm in writing before work starts. Every page shows the deadlines that apply. Every draft comes with a plain-English summary. If any of that is not true in your experience, our complaints process says what happens next.
How we work
The rules we hold ourselves to
- Fees are published, fixed and confirmed in writing before any work starts. The invoice matches the quote.
- The next HMRC and Companies House deadlines for your work are shown on every page we send and chased before they arrive.
- Nothing is filed until you have reviewed the draft, had your questions answered and approved it.
- Every client has a named contact who knows the file and answers in UK working hours, usually the same day.
- Companies House and HMRC charges are shown separately and passed on at cost, never marked up or hidden in our fee.
- We do not sell tax schemes. Planning uses the reliefs and allowances Parliament intended, and we say so when something is not worth doing.
Who we serve
From a first tax return to a small group of companies
Sole traders and freelancers filing their first Self Assessment. Landlords with one property or a portfolio. Contractors, consultants and locums working through a company. Shops, trades, agencies and workshops with staff and VAT. Start-ups raising their first round. Companies being formed, kept dormant or closed. The forty-three services on this site cover the compliance, specialist tax and advisory work that these businesses need, at fees scaled by complexity rather than by the hour.
Where we serve
Every postcode in the United Kingdom
Because the work is online, geography makes no difference to the service or the price. Every one of the sixty thousand places listed on this site, across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, has a page showing the services available there and the fees, which are the same everywhere. Scottish income tax bands, Welsh rates, Northern Ireland's Companies House register and the Windsor Framework VAT rules are handled correctly for clients in those nations.
