Why Rechlerich businesses file with IGI
No hourly rate and no surprise invoice. Rechlerich clients know the fee for corporation tax before they send a single document, and it stays fixed.
We work to the HMRC and Companies House calendar, not an appointment diary. Clients in Rechlerich get reminders at 60, 30 and 7 days before each date that applies to corporation tax.
We serve Rechlerich remotely by design: records by WhatsApp or email, drafts back for approval, filing electronic. The saving on premises is passed to you in the fee for corporation tax.
A named person handles your corporation tax from Rechlerich and knows the file, so you are not re-explaining your business to a different helpdesk each time.
We explain corporation tax in the words Rechlerich business owners use, not in accountant's shorthand, and we show our working so you can check it.
Nothing is filed for Rechlerich until you have reviewed and approved it. You see the draft, you ask questions, you sign off, then we submit and send you the receipt.

Worth knowing
Rules that come up in this work
Employer National Insurance
Since April 2025 employer National Insurance has been 15% on earnings above a £5,000 secondary threshold, a substantial increase for small employers. The Employment Allowance rose to £10,500 at the same time to soften it for the smallest businesses. Directors deciding their own salary weigh this cost against the Corporation Tax deduction a salary provides.
Workplace pensions and auto-enrolment
Every employer must assess its workers for automatic enrolment from the first employee's start date. Those aged 22 to State Pension age earning over £10,000 a year must be enrolled into a qualifying pension with minimum contributions of 8% of qualifying earnings, at least 3% from the employer, and a declaration of compliance made to the Pensions Regulator within five months.
Dormant companies
Companies formed to protect a name or hold a future business are dormant but not exempt: Companies House still expects dormant accounts within nine months of the year end and a confirmation statement annually with its £50 fee, and HMRC must be told the company is dormant or it will demand Corporation Tax returns. The filings are short, but the penalties for missing them are the same as for a trading company.
The trading and property allowances
Not every small income needs a tax return. The trading allowance exempts the first £1,000 of self-employment or casual income and the property allowance does the same for rental income, each measured on gross receipts. They cannot be combined with rent-a-room relief on the same income, and claiming the allowance means giving up the expense deduction for that source.
Crypto records and reporting
HMRC treats cryptoassets as property. Swapping one token for another, spending crypto or gifting it are all disposals for Capital Gains Tax, and staking and lending rewards are income. Gains are computed under pooling rules with same-day and 30-day matching. From 2026 HMRC receives data from exchanges worldwide under the Cryptoasset Reporting Framework, so unreported activity is increasingly visible.
The 60-day property CGT return
The 60-day Capital Gains Tax return on residential property is the deadline landlords most often miss, because it falls outside the Self Assessment cycle and runs from completion, not exchange. Private residence relief for periods you lived in the property, plus the final nine months, reduces the gain. Penalties for a late return mirror Self Assessment, starting at £100.
Record keeping
Good records are the difference between a quick enquiry and a long one. For the self-employed, five years after the filing deadline; for companies, six years from the year end; for VAT, six years. Photographs of receipts, PDF statements and software exports all count. The requirement is to keep records, not paper, and a well-organised cloud folder satisfies it.
Questions
Corporation Tax questions from Rechlerich
Can you deal with HMRC if they open an enquiry into the return?
Yes. As your authorised agent we receive and respond to HMRC correspondence. Routine queries about a return we filed are handled at no extra charge. A formal enquiry is handled through our HMRC investigation service at fixed fees per stage, so you know the cost before deciding how to proceed.
Does R&D affect my Corporation Tax return?
Yes. Research and development relief is claimed on the CT600 and reduces the tax or generates a credit. Since the merged scheme, first-time claimants must notify HMRC within six months of the period end. Our R&D service prepares the technical report and the computation; the claim then goes on the return we file.
When is Corporation Tax paid and the return filed?
Tax is due nine months and one day after the end of the accounting period; the CT600 is due twelve months after it. Companies with profits over £1.5 million pay by instalments instead. Interest runs on late payment from the due date, and a late return attracts a £100 penalty rising to 10% of the tax at twelve months.
What are capital allowances and what can I claim?
Capital allowances are the tax equivalent of depreciation. The annual investment allowance gives 100% relief on up to £1 million of qualifying plant and machinery a year; full expensing gives 100% on new main-rate assets without limit; cars and integral features go into pools at 18% or 6%. The £299 package reviews every asset purchase in the year.
Is the CT600 included when you prepare the accounts?
Yes. Our limited company accounts packages at £299 and £449 include the computation, the CT600 and filing with HMRC. The standalone fees on this page are for companies whose accounts are prepared elsewhere or where the return needs separate work such as a capital allowances review.
What are the Corporation Tax rates for 2026/27?
Profits up to £50,000 are taxed at the 19% small profits rate. Profits above £250,000 pay the 25% main rate. Between the two, marginal relief produces an effective rate rising from 19% towards 25%, with a marginal rate of 26.5% on each pound in the band. The thresholds are divided by the number of associated companies plus one.
Do you have an office in Rechlerich?
No. IGI Accounting is an online-only firm. We serve Rechlerich and every other UK postcode remotely, with records sent by WhatsApp or email and everything filed electronically. The absence of local premises is why the fee for corporation tax is the same in Rechlerich as anywhere else in the country, and why there is nothing to visit and nothing to print.
Is corporation tax in Rechlerich really the same price as elsewhere?
Yes. The fee published on this page is what a client in Rechlerich pays and what a client in any other part of Scotland pays. It is confirmed in writing before work starts and the invoice matches the quote. Where a higher package applies because your situation is more complex, we say so at the quote stage, never afterwards.
