1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of the IGI Accounting website and, together with your engagement letter, our provision of accountancy services. If anything in your signed engagement letter conflicts with these terms, the engagement letter takes precedence.
2. Our services
We provide fixed-fee accountancy services including year-end accounts, Self Assessment, corporation tax, VAT, bookkeeping, payroll, CIS, management accounts, advisory and company formation, as set out in your chosen plan and engagement letter. The exact scope of your plan is confirmed in writing before you join.
3. Fees and billing
Our plans are billed as a fixed monthly fee plus VAT, agreed in writing in advance. Plans are rolling monthly agreements with no long tie-in — you can cancel with 30 days’ notice. Introductory discounts (such as 40% off for three months) apply as advertised at sign-up. Work outside your agreed scope is quoted separately before we begin.
4. Your responsibilities
You agree to provide complete, accurate and timely information, to review and approve filings before submission, and to meet your own legal duties as a taxpayer, director or business owner. We rely on the information you give us; we are not responsible for consequences arising from inaccurate or late information.
5. Our responsibilities
We will act with reasonable care and skill, in line with the standards of our professional bodies, and will keep your affairs confidential except where the law requires disclosure. We aim to respond to queries within three working hours during business hours.
6. Switching and clearance
When you join from another accountant, we handle professional clearance and records transfer on your behalf at no charge. When you leave, we will provide professional clearance to your new accountant promptly.
7. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud or for anything that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, our total liability arising from the services is limited to the amount specified in your engagement letter. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
8. Anti-money-laundering
We are required by law to verify the identity of our clients and may be obliged to report certain matters to the authorities. By engaging us you agree to provide the verification information we request.
9. Termination
Either party may end the engagement with 30 days’ written notice. Fees for work performed up to termination remain payable. We may suspend services for non-payment.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
